How many people can you accommodate?
The program has a maximum of 20 people. This ensures the individual attention to each of our guests.

Who comes to the San Sophia Hiking and Wellness Program?
Our guests are typically corporate executives from large cities that are looking for a structured vacation that will show them a new lifestyle that they can carry back to their everyday lives. We also cater to individuals and groups that are looking for the motivation to get back into shape, but need a kick start.

Traveling alone?
Many of our guests travel alone, and are looked after by our team of experts from the moment they arrive at the airport till we all say goodbye. The team is on hand to look after guests throughout their retreat and we do our best to make sure everyone feels at home and relaxed at all times. We have found that the San Sophia Hiking and Wellness Program attracts like-minded fun, friendly, and health minded people.

What level(s) of yoga do you cater for?
Yoga plays an important role in connecting the mind, body, and spirit. Our daily yoga classes are designed for all levels from the never ever’s to those that practice daily. With daily classes you will find that your flexibility and strength make drastic improvements by the end of the week.

What level(s) of fitness do you cater for?
As with yoga we cater to all levels of fitness and hiking levels. There is no exact science to grouping people together, but through our experience we have come pretty close to perfection. Through our pre-arrival questionnaire and fitness evaluation at the beginning of the week we split everyone into three different levels for hiking. This allows for everyone to feel comfortable with who they are hiking with. It is not unusual for our guest to move up or down while they are here for a week. If someone wants to really push themselves they could move up and vice versus if they do not feel as strong one morning we encourage them to move down a step. Our guides and trainers are here to make sure that everyone is being challenged while at the same time having fun.

Do I have to take part in everything?
Here at the San Sophia Hiking and Wellness we truly believe that you get out everything you put into the program. You are expected to participate in all activities and programs to get the maximum health and fitness benefits from the program. It is also important for the group chemistry that everyone is working together and not taking any extra time off; however, we know that everyone needs their personal space, and lets not forget you are on vacation, and we have built in plenty of free time into the schedule.

Do I get to see anything of local interest?
Of course, Telluride’s historical district is not too be missed. We have provided two free evenings for you to “explore Telluride.” This gives our guests a chance to see the shops and restaurants that make Telluride so unique.

How do the airport transfers work?
We provide transportation to Telluride from all of the Telluride flights on the stat day of the program and three pick-ups in Montrose on the first day of the program. The returns are the same, any flight out of Telluride will be taken care of and then there are three separate trips down to Montrose on the final day. The Telluride Airport is a short 10 minute drive from the Inn and Montrose Airport is only 1 hour 15 minutes. Please feel free to inquire about special pick ups either for arrival or departure.

How do I keep in touch with home/the office?
There is high speed wireless internet throughout the Inn so you can keep in touch with the outside world – if you so desire?
